Beechwood Place is registered with the Care Quality Commission as a care home with nursing, for a maximum of 35 residents. A qualified, experienced and registered manager leads an approachable, friendly care team, so clinical support is part of daily life at the home — not a separate service.
Dementia is one of the home's CQC-registered categories of care. The team's focus is a homely, safe and therapeutic environment where each person's rights to privacy, dignity and confidentiality are respected — with routines, meals and activities shaped around the individual.
Palliative care is provided at Beechwood Place, with facilities for relatives to stay overnight on request and bereavement counselling available to families. The aim is comfort, dignity and closeness for residents and the people who love them.
Respite stays give a family carer time to rest while their relative is looked after by the home's nursing team — with the same rooms, home-cooked food and activity programme enjoyed by permanent residents.
Convalescent care at Beechwood Place supports people regaining strength after a hospital stay or illness. Residents can keep their own GP if they wish, and visiting professionals — chiropodist, physiotherapist and hairdresser — attend the home.
